Our Design Approach
Form, function
and the space between.
Our design approach is a way of looking at furniture in context. We consider how shape, proportion, tone and practical purpose come together in the room, rather than treating each piece as a separate statement.
A room-first approach.
Understand the activity
Identify what happens in the space and which pieces need to support it. A work corner and a reading corner may have similar furniture but different needs.
Resolve scale
Compare the proposed dimensions with the room and the furniture already there. Check practical clearances and access with real measurements.
Build a material conversation
Look for a relationship between finishes rather than assuming every material must be identical. Review actual product descriptions before relying on a visual impression.
Edit and observe
Step back from the arrangement. Try reducing a surface display or moving a smaller piece before adding another object to solve the composition.
A considered point of view.
Read the space
Notice the room’s dimensions, openings, light and everyday routes.
Establish the relationships
Consider how larger pieces, supporting furniture and open areas work together.
Refine the details
Use a limited set of repeated tones or textures to bring the arrangement into focus.
The relationship is the design.
A chair beside a lamp, a table near a sofa and a clear path through the room all affect how a space feels. Consider those connections alongside the individual pieces.
- Begin with use.
- Measure the relationship between pieces.
- Edit before adding.

Good to know.
Does this page describe an in-house manufacturing process?
No. It explains NUVDORA’s perspective on design and room composition, without claiming a particular manufacturing or authorship process.
Can I use this approach with existing furniture?
Yes. Start with the pieces and dimensions you already have, then consider what needs to change or be added.
